To start you need great guides and this is very important when choosing a safari. The guides for PAS are unmatched in every way. They took care of us, spoke perfect English, were very accommodating to our needs but they excelled above every other guide because they had the ability to spot the most elusive, rare animals first, including multiple leopards. Once we had a nice viewing, our guides would alert the network of other guides to help their tour see the sights we spotted first. Our guides were experts on the landscape, locations of animals, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the animals, knowledgable about the environment, birds and wildlife. Ask any question and you will get an answer and a full education. You will learn so much on this trip.
Are you shopping for pricing? Look no further. PAS is very reasonably priced… because everything is included. There are no surprise extra costs. The one time fee included food, drink, snacks, alcohol (which they said was not included), 5 star accommodations in four luxurious lodges and tents that felt more like “glamping” and being in an actual room. They were safe, comfortable and also very romantic. We were welcomed with appetizers, hand towels, gracious personalities and smiles. If you think you can find a less expensive trip and get the same experience in a shorter amount of time you will be disappointed. I would save your money and wait until you can do it the right way through PAS.
Their seamless structure of easing us into a 10 day life altering experience was magnificence that is unprecedented. The breakfasts, picnic lunches and evenings next to a firepit with other guests, service and relaxation after a breathtaking, exciting day would help us recover for the next day adventure. If your trip does NOT include the Serengeti, do not even bother to go. This portion of the trip is necessary to see it all! This is where you will see Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Elephants, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Water buffalo, Gazelles, Hyenas, Jackals, Eagles, Vultures, Zebra, The great Migration, Baboons, Monkeys, Wild Boar, and many more!
From Arusha to Lake Manyara to the Ngorongoro Crater ( one of the 10 wonders of the world) to the mountain tops and down through the Serengeti experiencing the peaceful sounds of birds, winds, and Culture. We saw every animal that exists in the Serengeti including the rare Black Rhinoceros, several Leopards, Cheetahs and their babies, Lions and their prides, animal chases, birds and we were so close, safely, that we could get incredible pictures and videos using our iphones to capture most of it. We witnessed Wildebeest being born on two occasions, and the animals hunting their prey. We went on a hot air balloon, champagne breakfast in the bush and back to more scenic views with flamingos, trees, mountains, water, more animals and wildlife. From start to finish we were excited every minute of every day with nature and outdoors like I have never experienced in my lifetime and I don’t think I ever could.
