My wife and I completed her dream trip – an African safari – in September 2022. Proud African Safaris was recommended to us by a well traveled couple during a trip to Italy. We loved PAS. The planning was very interactive and Nandi put us up at places right out of the movies. My wife felt connected to her African dream and I loved the food, service and adventure. The safari itself was total reality. Adam delivered big time. With his experience and eagle-eye spotting we didn’t miss a thing. My pictures are crazy good. I can’t say enough about PAS and recommend their style of custom safari to anyone wishing to travel to Tanzania. (And by the way, Tanzania is where the Serengeti is, so don’t be fooled into thinking it’s in Kenya.) It really does matter who you book with and I am happy we chose PAS.
Be sure to talk to Nandi about tent camps. Ask Adam to show you more than just the wild. There are cultural aspects that help you experience Tanzania, including the Maasai whose culture is fading – visit them now before its too late.
Take two days to visit Ngorongoro. All the animals and a geological marvel. Get them to include a bush plane flight – saves time and it’s the best way to see the Serengeti from above.
Consider a real camera with a long zoom lens. I took about half the pictures with that type of camera and would not have captured the leopard shots or action pictures with just a phone camera. (We witnessed and photographed a cheetah chase – amazing. The gazelle survived the first one, but lost out in the second.)
I could go on and on, but it’s your turn to check out Tanzania and PAS.
